All of the staff here at Central IT would like to welcome students, faculty, and staff back to school! There are quite a few updates for fall coming from the Central IT department, and we are excited to share these with you!
Combined D2L -
D2L has officially been combined from two instances of online and campus to one site! This makes for easier access, one login, and all your classes listed in one place! A few updates include easy transferring of content between campus class sites and online class sites, one login page, start dates listed for students, and easier navigation in general! If you have questions about D2L, contact our Service Center! To request a D2L site, log into D2L, go to Resources > Links > Desire To Learn Course Request Form.
SharePoint Progress -
Our SharePoint team is continuing work on assisting campuses moving over their old SharePoint 2007 sites to SharePoint 2013. Our team is currently about 20% of the way through creating new sites. Emails will be sent out periodically for departments and personnel to switch their sites over. The SharePoint team has been working promptly to stay ahead of the old server being shut down!
